Mike Bones: What I Have Left

I could promise you
With what I have left
To hold you through the night
To love you today
But maybe not the next
To leave all precious thoughts behind

I could marry you
With what I have left
But I'm certain you'll do better on your own
I curse my troubled mind
It never ever rests
I can't always be alone

I have injured you
With what I have left
But it never was my intent
You will find happiness
In the arms of other men
But will I be left with them

I could leave you
With what I have left
Would you prefer hatred or bitterness
My soul once was blessed
But it didn't take I guess
SO I'll deal with what I have left

Love all your postings; don't want to miss a day. So don't take offense, but your postings are always sad.
